Trouble Shooters has been through many cold Canadian winters and fixed many frozen pipes with our pipe thawing technology. During the cold winter months in Canada, temperatures can reach below -20° and getting your frozen pipe working again can be tough. There are a lot of DYI methods, however, these take time and can get quite challenging. And if not fixed right away, the frozen section of pipe could burst causing flooding and major damage.
A good indication that you have a frozen pipe is slow water service. A complete lack of water during the freezing cold could indicate a frozen meter or a pipe leading from the water meter. Once you have recognized that a pipe may be frozen, immediately turn off the water to that area to prevent any potential leaks that could result in a burst pipe.
